| STRAFFORD GARDEN CLUB (continued)
On one of those hot, hot days of early June several diehard
members showed up for the monthly care of the gardens at the
Bow Lake Grange Hall. They deserve kudos from the rest of
us! On weeding day, which will be July 14, we shall probably
concentrate our efforts on the new Water Street garden in
back of the Grange Hall. Let's hope the weather will be more
lenient in July.
At our regular meeting, which will be on
July 7 this month, member Glenna Nutter will teach us how to
make a "Tussie-Mussie" and asks us to bring small flowers
which would be appropriate for the small nosegay. This will
be at 1:00 p.m. at the Grange Hall. New faces are always
welcome.
There will be another Open House at
Bedrock Farm in Lee on July 12 from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A
visit to this wonderful place is a real treat for anyone,
gardener or not. |
