| THE BOW LAKE COMMUNITY CLUB FOR THE
BOW LAKE GRANGE HALL (continued)
The first, our Ham & Bean Dinner held on July
3 from 4 to 7 p.m. in a new take-away format. Drive through
the parking lot for a full meal including cornbread and
brownie (no beverage)—the ideal way to prepare for the
fireworks on the Lake. Let us pack the picnic for you! The
Strafford Women’s Club annual Ice Cream Socials will be held
on July 9 and August 6, 4:30 to 8:30 pm., toppings
galore–combined anyway you like–yes, you CAN have it your
way! Our Little Lakeside Players will soon be rehearsing
their summer production which will be performed for your
pleasure on July 25, 26, and 27 so save a date on you
calendar! We encourage you to turn out in support of our
youngest thespians and enjoy the creativity and dedication
of our local youth.
Once again, The Lakeside Players rip into
a repeat performance of Lend Me A Tenor. Last years’
highly successful production was greeted with large
audiences and rave reviews. Don’t miss your chance to join
in the fun and take advantage of a rare command performance.
See the Events page of this publication for dates and times
in August or call 664-5557 for more information and
reservations.
Finally, a reminder to all you
Chili-Chowder Heads – the date has been set for the Annual
Chili-Chowder Cook-Off on Saturday, September 13. If you are
an aspiring celebrity chef, acclaimed among family and
friends for your unique Chowder or Chili recipe, here is
your opportunity for fame and fortune. If you’d like to
enter your specialty or can lend a hand at the event, please
contact: Sheila 664-7188 or Mary 664-9516.
Remember, no matter how hot it gets
outside, the Bow Lake Grange Hall is air conditioned for
your comfort and enjoyment. So if the breeze off the Lake
doesn’t cool things off, step inside and enjoy whatever is
going on! Speaking of amenities, our newly renovated,
handicap accessible bathroom is now complete, providing a
fully functional, tastefully appointed restroom for your
comfort and safety. This means that the ground level of the
Grange Hall is now fully accessible to the disabled. Come on
in and check it out to see how your annual membership
enhances and maintains this valuable and beloved community
resource.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, July 8, 7
p.m. at the Grange Hall. All are welcome. For questions and
information, call Bob Lee at 664-9516 or visit our Website
at www.bowlakecc.org.
In the meantime, have a safe and glorious summer on the
highways, byways and waterways of our beautiful community! |
